Nomination papers available for Truro town election in May

Six offices to appear on the May 12 ballot

Nomination papers for the annual Truro town election are now available in the Town Clerk's Office at the Town Hall. Six offices, with ten available positions will appear on the ballot for the May 12 election.

Any Truro registered voter is eligible to run for office.

The following positions are up for election:

  • Board of Selectmen - 3-year term, 2 positions (positions currently held by Jay H. Coburn and Janet W. Worthington)
  • School Committee - 3-year term, 2 positions (positions currently held by Michelle R. Jarusiewicz and Kenneth B. Oxtoby)
  • Library Trustee - 3-year term, 2 positions (positions currently held by S. Keith Althaus and Janice L. Redman-Dutoit) 
  • Cemetery Commission - 3-year term, 1 position (position currently held by Robert L. H. Masson)
  • Planning Board - 5-year term, 2 positions (positions currently held by Leo A. Childs III and Lisa M. Tobia)
  • Housing Authority - 5-year term, 1 position (position currently held by Jeannette DeBeauvoir)

Nominations papers must be signed by at least 20 registered voters. Nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk's Office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.
