For the fifth year in a row, the Kazoo Society Marching Band is asking the question, "Do you kazoo?"

If you do, you are welcomed to attend an organizational meeting/talent search on Tuesday, April 28 at 6 p.m. at the Olde Colonial Courthouse, 3046 Main Street in Barnstable Village. The group, according to founder Lee Hill is dedicated to fun and friendship.

"We invite anyone, young and old, musically inclined or otherwise, to come to our organizational meeting," Hill said. For the last half decade, the group has promoted music education in elementary and secondary schools.

The kazoo offers an easy introduction to playing a musical instrument. There is no prior musical experience required. Sheet music, instruction and most important of all, kazoos will be available. Anyone interested in attending the meeting on April 28 is asked to RSVP to [email protected] or 774-994-0054.

The Kazoo Society Marching Band will again be participating in the Barnstable 4th of July parade.

"It is impossible not to smile when you are handed a kazoo," Hill said.
