Expect delays on Route 6A as work starts

MassDOT to resurface Route 6A in Brewster

This week, on or around Wednesday, September 9, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be performing road work along Route 6A in Brewster. The Town of Brewster issued a notice, warning motorists to expect delays.

A variety of improvements and maintenance tasks will be completed including the installation of safety signs and sedimentation fencing, selective clearing and thinning, road sawing and installation of drainage systems. The work is part of MassDOT Project 60616 which includes resurfacing Route 6A in Brewster from the Dennis town line to the Orleans town line.

Following winter, road and sidewalk reconstruction will start up in spring 2016. The multi-faceted project is scheduled to be completed fall 2017.
