The Hundred Acres School will host five open house dates this January. Families of prospective students are welcomed to attend one of the dates and tour the facility. The Hundred Acres School, on the grounds of Heritage Museums and Gardens, offers a STEM-focused curriculum. According to a release from the school, teaches students using Heritage's collections, facility and grounds.
The curriculum is both outdoor-discovery and STEM-based. Through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), preschool students prepare for multidisciplinary learning. Enrollment is currently open for 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
Open houses are scheduled for Wednesday, January 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, January 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During the open houses, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the director, tour the school, review programs and register. Open house visits are available by appointment by calling Melissa Russell at 508-888-3300 ext. 158.
The school, which is at 67 Grove Street in Sandwich, is now in its second year.
