New parking regulations for Hyannis Main Street lot

Six-hour maximum parking goes into effect July 12

New parking regulations are now in effect for the Barnstable Town Hall parking lot in Hyannis. As of Tuesday, July 12, there is now a six-hour maximum for parking in the lot between Main and South Streets (behind the JFK Museum).

Overnight parking will no longer be allowed at the lot.

According to the Town of Barnstable, the new regulations will be enforced 24/7. The change in regulations has been made to allow better access to the municipal buildings in the area and to maximize use of the lot.

Violators will be subject to fines and vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense.

Questions regarding the new regulations at the Barnstable Town Hall lot may be directed to the Consumer Affairs Parking Division by calling 508-862-4771.
