What is a quaking bog? Does it happen only around Halloween?

Walk the shores of Upper Mill Pond. Discover a quaking bog. See what was once a cranberry bog. Learn how to observe a pond and begin collecting data to assess its status. What
observations can help you, over time, to evaluate what causes a pond to be healthy or impaired?

The walk will be held on Saturday, October 29, 10 – 11:30 AM. Advance registration is required. The event is limited to 35 walkers.

Admission is free to Brewster Ponds Coalition contributing members. All others: $10.00 contribution.

Register at on the NEWS/EVENTS page. Deadline Thursday, October 27, 2016.
