On Saturday November 5th, Cape Cod Academy will host its first all-school Open House of the year. From 1PM-3PM interested families can join current parents, faculty, and staff on the school campus to learn more about the Cape Cod Academy school experience. Parents of students Pre-K through grade 12 are invited.
The event will feature remarks from Tom Trigg, Head of School, who will introduce the school, its mission and the day’s events. Faculty in all grades will be present and classrooms will be open for parents to see the classroom experience first-hand. These experiences stretch across the Lower, Middle and Upper schools for parents to see the spectrum of curriculum the school offers. This curriculum includes Singapore Math, humanities, languages, art, music, science, social and emotional learning, Advanced Placement and honors courses, as well as the school’s college counseling and faculty advisory programs - both unique to the school. The event will also showcase athletics, clubs and other extracurricular activities. Current parents will be on-hand to greet prospective families and current students will be conducting tours of the school.
“We are excited to have families attend our Open House and experience how their kids will learn differently at Cape Cod Academy – where they will be challenged in their work and inspired by their peers and teachers to excel,” said Tom Trigg, Head of School. “We do more than prepare our students for college: we teach students how to be learners, how to self-advocate and how to excel at skills such as collaboration, problem solving, and leadership which are necessary for success in the 21st century and beyond.”
“We look forward to welcoming many new families to the Cape Cod Academy school experience,” said Alex Tolischus, Director of Admissions. “We will demonstrate how our faculty teaches to the whole child – in every grade Pre-K through 12. Our school provides outstanding opportunities in academics, athletics and arts – in an environment that fosters clinical thinking and innovation to inspire and build young leaders.”
Registration is required for the event. Interested families can contact the Cape Cod Academy Admissions Office at 508-428-5400 or register online at www.capecodacademy.org.
