Broadsides fly in contentious County Sheriff race

MASS GOP obtains, publishes Randy Azzato employee records

In the latest chapter continuing saga over who will be the next Sheriff of Barnstable County, the Massachusetts Republic Party has obtained and published "over 400 pages" of challenger Randy Azzato's state employee records.

In a statement released on the MASSGOP website Saturday, MASSGOP executive director Brian Wynne stated that Azzato's records "are public information" and that his party had "aggressively pursued their release, successfully obtaining them this week."  Wynne said, "the records raise serious questions about Azzato's fitness for office."
