Provincetown parking restrictions for First Light events

Town parking lots free during event, restrictions on streets

Bulletin from Provincetown Police:

Special On-Street Parking Restrictions in place for First Light Provincetown events.

In anticipation of an influx motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic to view the First Light Provincetown fireworks display, the Town of Provincetown has established temporary PARKING RESTRICTIONS on Commercial Street between Johnson Street and Court Street.

There will also be no live parking, stopping or standing allowed in Lopes Square.

The restrictions are necessary for the protection of public safety, to ensure passage of emergency vehicles and to maintain the orderly flow of traffic. The restrictions will be in effect from 2am on Thursday, December 29th until 2am on Monday, January 02nd.  All areas will be specifically denoted and vehicles parked in posted NO PARKING AREAS, will be tagged and towed if necessary.

All town parking lots are open without charge during this event.

Happy New Year!
