The adult residents at Latham Centers celebrated a successful and healthy 2016 at Ryan Family Amusements on Monday, January 16 th. Over 50 adults came from our 11 residential homes to socialize with peers and bowl, and cheers erupted amongst different groups as Candle-Pin, and Ten-Pin Bowlers knocked down the pins.

Bowling is an activity enjoyed by almost all residents as it allows our serious bowlers, who participate in leagues, the opportunity to practice their technique. Additionally, it allows residents who have never bowled the opportunity put up bumpers to learn the lay of the land. Staffers love it too!

As a result of 2016 health initiatives and grant funding, many adult residents lost weight and focused on healthy eating and healthy hygiene. Moreover, due to the residents’ excitement and eagerness to participate, Latham staff have continued the initiative into 2017.
