...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS
AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for Cape Cod, which is in effect until 4 PM EST
this afternoon.

* TIMING...Through 4 pm this afternoon.

* MAIN IMPACT...Periods of snow are expected to affect Cape Cod
through 4 pm. The heaviest snowfall is expected to be on the mid
to outer Cape, where snowfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected this
afternoon. The combination of heavy snowfall and strong wind
gusts will produce periods of near whiteout conditions.
* OTHER IMPACTS...A High Wind Warning is also in effect for this
area. Northwest wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected, with
gusts to 60 mph. Use caution when traveling...especially in open
  areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be
prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use
caution while driving.
