MSPCA Pet of the Week: Meet Jagger

A purebred Cane Corso!

Jagger—who for all those taking care of him at the MSPCA’s Centerville adoption center looks like a rock star!—is a purebred Cane Corso, a highly desirable breed rarely available in animal shelters.  Jagger came to the MSPCA as a stray, so not much is known about him.  But staffers do know this: he is big and strong and has a whole lot of love to give.  Jagger loves to be around people and to lean against them for comfort.  He can get anxious and doesn’t always know his own strength, so positive reinforcement training (with plenty of cheese) is an excellent way to train this loving dog.

Jagger needs an adopter with experience handling large dogs – and in a home without small children.  He might be fine with another dog after an introduction to make sure they are compatible.  For more info on Jagger contact the adoption center directly at [email protected] welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
