Osterville Library hosts nine part lecture series on National Parks

Steve Farrar takes us on a tour of the national park system

Join Steve Farrar in a centennial plus birthday celebration of our national parks system and a brief tour of some of the newer parks you may not have heard of! Steve has visited all 50 states and 54 (out of 59) national parks! This presentation will kick off a new travel series that we will host every other Thursday through the end of June. You can enjoy different regions while never leaving Osterville.. and maybe do some travel planning of your own.

March 26th    -        Overview of the National Parks Service’s various Units; brief sample tours of some lesser-known NP’s; teaser pictures of “coming attractions”

March 30th    -        Parks of the Colorado Plateau (Canyonlands)

April 13th     -           Alaskan National Parks (“The Great Eight”)

April 27th     -          National Parks of the East Coast

May 11th     -             California and The Pacific Parks

May 25th     -            Parks of the Midwest

June 8th      -            The Rocky Mountains Parks

June 22nd    -           Parks of the Pacific Northwest

June 29th    -            National Parks Service in Massachusetts

Farrar’s presentation, along with his breath taking pictures, will be held in the handicapped accessible main meeting room of the Osterville Village Library. This event is FREE and open to the public.
