Call for exhibitors at Lower Cape Home & Garden Expo

Annual show set for April 8th at Cape Cod Regional Tech

One of the most popular home shows on the Cape is back and looking for exhibitors.

Free and open to the public, the Lower Cape Home & Garden Expo returns to Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Now in its ninth year, the show is expected to match or exceed its annual average of 3,000 visitors, comprised mainly of local residents and second homeowners who come to browse and buy.

“Past exhibitors have told us they can easily book thousands of dollars of business in one day,” notes Noelle Pina, executive director of the Orleans Chamber of Commerce, a co-sponsor of the event along with the Harwich, Chatham, Brewster and Eastham chambers of commerce.

Considering that 43 percent of Lower Cape and 59 percent of Outer Cape residents are second homeowners, it’s easy to see why this is one of the more lucrative opportunities for exhibitors looking to showcase their wares.

Past exhibitors have spanned a variety of product categories: home improvement, outdoor and garden, alternative energy, health/wellness/lifestyle, finance and insurance, organizations and nonprofits, and retailers. Exhibit space all on one level makes it convenient for visitors to navigate the displays.

Visitors also are drawn to the show by an annual roster of expert speakers and demonstrators. Appearing this year will be Certified Master Gardener Anne Firth, a longtime member of the Master Gardeners Association of Cape Cod, who will present three programs: Spring into the Garden; the Perennial Garden; and Vegetable Garden Know-How.

Further boosting attendance will be digital, print and radio campaigns.

Potential exhibitors are encouraged to register by Feb. 28. Space is limited to fewer than 100 booths. In addition, a number of sponsorship opportunities – including promotional banners, flyers and media venues – will be available.

Complimentary morning coffee will be offered, while Cape Cod Tech’s Culinary Arts Dept. plans to prepare and sell soup and sandwiches for lunch.

Cape Cod Regional Technical High School is located at 351 Pleasant Lake Ave., Harwich, right off Route 6 at Exit 10.
