Provincetown Police update on Commercial Street construction

Parking ban starts at 2 a.m. Tuesday, March 7th...

DPW advises us that with the unseasonably warm weather they should be able to resume work on the Phase 3 Commercial Street project.

Next week Tuesday March 7th and Wednesday March 8th a contractor crew will be in Town with a street sweeper sweeping up all the loose aggregate as well as evaluating the base coat of paving after the winter cold.

Because of this work there can be NO PARKING in the primary Phase 3 work area.

An on-street parking ban will go into effect at 2am on Tuesday morning March 7th and will be lifted at 6pm on Wednesday evening March 8th.

This ban will be on Commercial Street in the designated area from Howland Street to Johnson Street and will be clearly marked with temporary no-parking signs.

All areas will be specifically denoted and vehicles parked in posted NO PARKING AREAS, will be tagged and towed if necessary to complete the work.

All town parking lots are open without charge until May 1st.
