Mashpee Police Bag Two Brockton Youths in Stolen Car

15 year old driver, 17 year old passenger taken into custody

From Mashpee Police:

Last evening (3/12/17) around 5:15pm, Officer Tamash observed three individuals sitting inside a gray Honda Civic at the Mashpee Neck Boat Ramp. As Officer Tamash passed the vehicle he conducted a query of the vehicles registration. Moments later he received a "stolen vehicle" hit on his MDT that the vehicle was stolen out of Brockton on 3/11/17.

While awaiting backup at his location before making contact with the occupants, the vehicle passed by his location. Officer Tamash activated his vehicles blue lights to initiate a motor vehicle stop. A short pursuit ensued down residential streets before the suspects vehicle crashed into a snowbank on Starboard Drive.

The operator of the vehicle a, 15 year old from Brockton, was taken into custody and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to stop for police and operating to endanger.

Both passengers from Brockton, a 17 year old and a 15 year old were also taken into custody and charged with receiving stolen property.
