From the Yarmouth Police Department:

The Yarmouth Police Department is hosting an open house from 12pm to 4 pm on Sunday March 19th to discuss the dangers of drinking and driving. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in several activities while wearing special googles that simulate different levels of impairment from alcohol and drug use.

By the time a driver reaches a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 0.10, he or she is 12 times more likely than a non-drinking driver to be involved in a fatal crash.

Traffic crashes are the number one killer of teens and almost one fourth of teen traffic deaths are alcohol-related.

More 18-, 19-, and 20-year-olds died in crashes related to blood alcohol (between .01 and .09) than any other age group.

After alcohol, marijuana is the drug most often found in the blood of drivers involved in crashes.
