NOAA: Mid-Day Update on on-again, off-again snow storm

It's off again, folks. Winds still strong...

Editor's Note:  Apparently today's terrifying snow event has once again fizzled.

From the National Weather Service:

Winter Weather Advisory Canceled for Cape/Nantucket. A coating to perhaps up to 2 inches of wet snow possible on some grassy surfaces through this afternoon, but roads will mainly be wet with a low impact for motorists. Still expect winds to increase through the afternoon across the Cape/Islands, with gusts between 40 and 55 mph.

Across the rest of the region, generally dry this afternoon with some partial sunshine expected to develop in western MA/northern CT. High temps mainly in the 30s to near 40.
