Parking Lot Work at Kalmus Beach

Work begins today through April 7th, weather permitting

The Barnstable Department of Public Works will perform improvements to the Kalmus Beach Parking Lot beginning on Thursday, March 23, 2017.  Improvements include general cleanup and sweeping of the existing parking area, application of a new asphalt pavement overlay and line striping. Work is expected to be completed by April 7, 2017 weather permitting.

Vehicle access to the parking area during construction operations will be restricted.  Visitors are advised to seek alternate beach locations to avoid the construction work.

Operations will start promptly at 7 AM and run until 5 PM, after which time traffic will be allowed back into the beach parking lot.

As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the construction areas and follow posted safety signs.
