Children's Author and New England Patriots Wide Receiver Malcolm Mitchell will visit Chatham Elementary School today to share the story of his "proudest accomplishment" with students. Despite being a member of the team for the Patriots' 2017 Super Bowl victory, Malcolm says his proudest accomplishment was learning to read. Mitchell, who has acknowledged struggling with reading even in college, has written a children's book; "The Magician's Hat" which is about the magic of reading. He has also started a literacy foundation for children and speaks to school students all over about the importance and "magic" of reading. Mitchell explains that football "came natural to him" and "was a gift" but that he "had to work to read".
