MSPCA Pet of the Week: Meet Otis

Otis is a sweet senior-citizen Puggle

Calling all senior dog lovers!  Otis is a “puggle” – that’s a cross between a beagle and a pug – who arrived at the MSPCA-Cape Cod in Centerville after his previous owners moved and couldn’t take their aged dog along.  Moreover, Otis has suffered a lifetime of painful ear infections that, sadly, were never treated.  The MSPCA-Cape Cod arranged for surgery at the MSPCA’s Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston so that Otis would feel better—but he still needs to take medication for the rest of his life.  Despite these challenges he remains ever so sweet and playful, and has a lovely disposition.

Otis will do best in a quiet home without young kids.  He may get along well with another dog after a careful introduction, and staffers can share their recommendations for how to effect such an intro.  Want to know more?  Email [email protected]!
