The Cape Conservatory announces special programming for spring break. From April 18th through 21st, teaching artist Nancy Pettibone is offering a colorful palette of courses to delight youth students from kindergarten through 6th grade at the Conservatory’s Barnstable campus.

Students will learn technique while having fun in great classes such as Sandcastles (build your own permanent beach palace out of recycled materials, sand, shells and sea glass); Imaginary Creatures (create multi-media creatures through drawing, painting, collage and clay); Cartoon Like Crazy (develop drawing skills and your creativity); and Creative Drawing & Painting (use several different kinds of watercolors, papers and drawing tools to make your own art masterpieces).  Visit capeconservatory.org for class schedules and registration or call 508-362-2772.

For more than a decade, teaching artist Nancy Pettibone has presented whimsical yet educational youth art classes at the Cape Conservatory. She brings her enthusiasm for art to the classroom, creating a warm, positive and creative atmosphere for young artists. A working artist as well as an art teacher, her artwork can be seen at the McGuire Gallery in Provincetown and the TAI Group in New York City.
