Former Harwich man pleads guilty to child porn charges

Jason Andolina will be sentenced on June 1st
Guilty Plea: Jason Andolina, formerly of Harwich, entered a plea of guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography.

Uxbridge resident and Harwich High School graduate Jason Andolina has entered a guilty plea to child pornography charges.  Court records indicate the plea was filed March 24th, thereby averting a trial that was scheduled to start last week.  He pled guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography.

Andolina faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a mandatory five years of supervised release after he completes his sentence.  Maximum sentences can run as high as 20 years and a lifetime of supervised release.  Andolina also faces a fine of up to $250,000.

Married with two children, Jason Andolina lived in Uxbridge.  He served as a cub scout leader and worked at Northbridge High School as a teaching assistant.

Andolina was arrested at his home on January 4th after a lengthy investigation by the Department of Homeland Security.  He has remained in custody since his arrest.  Initial court hearings on Worcester indicated he would be released to the custody of his parents in Harwich but that was later reversed by a Florida federal judge.
