From Brewster Police:

As the Route 6A paving project enters its final phase, motorists can expect delays and detours over the course of the next week.

Day 1 & 2:  Paving will be between the Orleans line and Millstone Road.  One lane will remain closed and traffic will be allowed through, alternating one direction at a time.  Delays will be substantial.

Day 3 & 4:  Paving will be between Millstone Road and Underpass Road.  Only Westbound traffic will be allowed through.  Eastbound traffic will be detoured up Underpass Road and around to Millstone Road.

Day 5 & 6:  Paving will be between Underpass Road and Route 137.  Again, only Westbound traffic will be allowed through.  Eastbound traffic will be detoured up Route 137 and around to Underpass Road.

Motorists are encouraged to allow plenty of extra time and/or seek an alternative route whenever possible.  Officers will be on hand to assist people with navigating the detours.  For more detailed information please see the Brewster Police Department website.  Daily updates will be posted on the Brewster Police Department Facebook page.
