Wild Care's Least Bittern - Capture from Wildcare video

From our compassionate friends at Wild Care Cape Cod:

Check out this cool video of a Least Bittern that Wild Care received on April 6th. Here he is, acting like a bittern - creeping & stalking his prey (creek chubs). Bitterns are part of the heron family, and the Least Bittern is an Endangered Species in the State of Massachusetts, due to loss of wetland habitat. The bird was extremely thin and had a toe injury. It was rehabilitated by Wild Care's staff, and released back to its reedy-wetland habitat in Orleans on April 14th. This is an early arrival record for this species. What a beauty!
