Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

All Cape police departments participating

Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Virtually all Cape Cod law enforcement agencies will be accepting prescription drugs in their kiosks, usually in the lobby of police headquarters.

Most Cape police departments offer this service every day.  Saturday is a national observance to highlight the importance of proper disposal of prescription drugs.

In addition to the obvious concern about opiod drugs falling into the wrong hands, here on the Cape we must be careful with our sole-source aquifer.  Flushing medications down the toilet can contaminate our groundwater.
