Traffic Advisory - Birchill Road to Ames Way, Centerville

Paving work takes place tonight

FROM THE BARNSTABLE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS:
MASS DOT PAVEMENT T ROUTE 28
(BIRCHILL ROAD TO AMES WAY CENTERVILLE)

Beginning at 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 11, 2017, weather permitting, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Lawrence-Lynch Corp. will be performing improvements to Route 28 from Birchill Road to Ames Way in Centerville. Improvements include paving of 700 feet, full width of surface course of roadway. The work is expected to be done during the evening hours from 9:00 PM through 1:00 AM, weather permitting.

While one lane will remain open to traffic at all times during the improvements, motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid the construction work. Motorists are urged to please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety signs.
