Celebrate the 24th Annual Cape Cod Maritime Month with some hair-raising, heart rending tales of perseverance at great odds narrated by DHS Curator, Phyllis Horton. Dennis wives were hearty souls. The exhibit continues throughout the summer. No admission fee, donations appreciated.

The Dennis Maritime Museum is located at the 1867 West Dennis Graded School, second floor, 67 School Street, W. Dennis. For more information call (508) 394-0017.


The Dennis Historical Society is an educational organization established to preserve, promote & protect the history of Dennis The Dennis Historical Society publicizes and promotes the heritage of Dennis, its museums, historical sites and markers including the 1736 Josiah Dennis Manse Museum, the 1801 Jericho Historical Center and the 1867 West Dennis Graded Schoolhouse. DHS owns the 1877 Rose Victorian & carriage house gift shop, maintains the Pauline Wixon Derick Library which focuses on Dennis History & genealogy, hosts a Searchable Historical Archive and sponsors programs of historical interest.
