Update:  Reader photo just in clearly shows heavy damages to several businesses.

Update:  At least once source is stating that "fire gutted several businesses".  Videos from the scene support this, showing smoke and fire showing in abutting businesses.

Fire crews from across the Cape are battling a three-alarm fire at the Red Shack restaurant in Provincetown.  The restaurant, located at 315 Commercial Street in Lopes Square, had heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof. Firefighters were pouring water on the blaze to keep it from spreading to nearby buildings.

The first was reported at approximately 6:30 p.m.

A fire of this magnitude will trigger movement of fire crews from nearly every Cape town as they move to cover fire stations that have sent crews and apparatus to P-Town.
