Periods of rain are forecast tonight into Tuesday night, with 1-2" rainfall expected within interior southern New England. Strong Northeast wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph are possible along east coastal MA Tue morning, which may cause some downed tree limbs.

Tuesday's highs will only be in the upper 40s to mid 50s, which is around 20 degrees below normal.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 9pm and 1am, then rain likely after 1am. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 53. East wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Rain likely before 10am, then scattered showers after 10am. Patchy fog before 1pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 54. Breezy, with a northeast wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
