...Late Season Coastal Storm Brings Strong Winds To Eastern

A late season coastal storm southeast of Nantucket this morning
was generating northeast winds up to 40 mph across the eastern
Massachusetts coastline from Cape Ann to Nantucket, including Cape
Cod and the city of Boston. Given trees are fully leaved wind
speeds of this magnitude is resulting in minor wind damage with
scattered reports of downed branches and small tree limbs.

Winds will begin to slacken early this afternoon as the coastal
storm exits out to sea. Thus minor wind damage will become less
likely as the afternoon progresses
