Yarmouth Marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

June 15th from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Yarmouth Senior Center and The Cape Cod Elder Abuse Coalition are sponsoring an event to honor World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Join us for a day in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. This will offer a chance to learn about local resources and services and provide an opportunity to socialize with fellow seniors.

The event will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

The program will feature a variety of guest speakers on topics such as protective elder services, legal aspects of elder abuse, and a neighborhood advocate as well as information tables from local organizations that work with seniors.

  • Keynote Speaker: Mary Freeley, Deputy Chief of Health Care and Fair Competition Bureau from Attorney General, Maura Healey’s Office

Light refreshments will be provided by Windsor Skilled Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center of South Yarmouth.

Visit our many vendor tables, take a chance at raffle items from each vendor and participate in an enthusiastic afternoon of community partnership dedicated to ending elder abuse, generating resources, educating the community and advocating to meet the needs of elder abuse victims.
