Orphans grow by leaps and bounds with Wild Care Cape Cod fostering
What a difference a week makes for these orphaned woodpeckers (Wild Care Cape Cod photo)

From the compassionate folks at Wild Care Cape Cod:

What an amazing difference one week makes! These Northern Flickers (woodpeckers) came to us from the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable. The tree they were nesting in was cut down, and they were not able to be reunited with their parents. They are in our care and growing very quickly! They are a rowdy bunch, and are beginning to preen their tiny incoming feathers. These babies are fed every 20 minutes from 6AM - 6PM daily.

Please reserve tree trimming for late September - February. Don't displace our wild friends who may be nesting!
