Complimentary dementia counseling at Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee (July 5, 12, 19 & 26)

The Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod will offer complimentary one-on-one counseling with Executive Director Dr. Molly Perdue every Wednesday in July (July 5, 12, 19 and 26) from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee. The AFSC’s mission is to provide the highest quality of complimentary, ongoing support to Cape Cod families navigating Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. Counseling sessions are by appointment only.

Caregiver support groups at Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee (July 5 & 19) 

Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee will host its monthly caregiver support groups on Wednesday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 19 at 4 p.m. Share your caregiving story while also hearing the stories of others on the same journey in sessions led by Sonja Brewer and sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod.

‘Sundowning & Other Challenges of Memory Loss’ at Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee (July 18)

Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee will host the complimentary presentation “Sundowning & Other Challenges of Memory Loss” on Tuesday, July 18 at 12 p.m. Sundowning is a dementia-related symptom that refers to increased agitation, confusion and hyperactivity that begins in the late afternoon and builds throughout the evening. Discover helpful tips to reduce the incidence of sundowning during this informative presentation led by Alicia Seaver, certified memory impairment specialist and director of memory care at Bridges by EPOCH.
