Saturday Funeral for Falmouth's Pulitzer Winner

Globally renowned editorialist Joseph Rago comes home to Falmouth
Pulitzer Prize winning editorial writer Joseph Arthur Rago graduated from Falmouth High School in 2001.

Funeral services have been announced for Falmouth's Joseph Rago, the Pulitizer Prize winning editorialist at the Wall Street Journal.  Mr. Rago died July 20th at his Manhattan home.

Mr. Rago graduated from Falmouth High School in 2001, where he was president of the National Honor Society.  He graduated from Dartmouth College in 2005 and was immediately hired at The Wall Street Journal, following an internship there. 

Joseph Rago earned the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing in 2011.  His editors at WSJ remarked that, through his editorials, Joseph had an enormous impact on events in Washington.  He held particular expertise in the area of health care policy.

Joseph Arthur Rago is the son of Paul and Nancy Rago of Falmouth.  He leaves a brother, sister and many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Chapman, Cole, Gleason, 584 West Falmouth Highway (Route 28A), West Falmouth, MA on Friday, July 28, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.  The Funeral Service will be at 11 am on Saturday, July 29 at First Lutheran Church, 1663 Main Street (Route 6A), West Barnstable, MA. The burial service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to the Joseph A. Rago Memorial Fund for Excellence in Journalism at any TD Bank.
