NOAA: Where'd Summer Go?

Temps remain unseasonably cool

From the National Weather Service:

Waking up to temperatures just a few degrees warmer than yesterday thanks to some mid-level cloud decks associated with a weak, mostly dry disturbance sweeping the area today. A spot shower is possible, mainly light and simply a nuisance.

Highs up into the 70s today, slightly cooler than average for late August. Definitely chilly overnight into Saturday morning with lows down into the 40s for many locations as high pressure settles in with clear conditions and light winds.
