NOAA: "Potential Tropical Cyclone #10" Update

From the National Weather Service:

Potential tropical cyclone Ten is expected to track northeastward and strengthen. This disturbance is forecast to make its closest approach to southern New England late tonight into Wed morning, passing about 120 miles south of Nantucket.

During late tonight and Wed, northeast wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph are expected across RI and southeast MA. Over the Cape and Islands, stronger wind gusts of 40 to over 50 mph are anticipated. The slides below have some additional details.

There is a chance for rain across much of the area during tonight into Wed morning. However, southeast MA and RI are the most likely areas to receive rainfall, ranging from a few tenths of an inch, to around an inch of rain on Nantucket.
