Cape Cod Hoarding Task Force

Buried in Treasures – Self-Help Support Groups offered across Cape Cod

The Cape Cod Hoarding Task Force has teamed up with organizations throughout Cape Cod to offer the evidence-based, Buried in Treasures Self Help Groups for individuals struggling with compulsive cluttering and hoarding. Groups will be offered this fall in Provincetown, Harwich, Mashpee and Falmouth.

These action-oriented self-help support groups consist of 15 weekly sessions that are based on the book Buried in Treasures: Help for Compulsive Acquiring, Saving and Hoarding by David F. Tolin, Randy O. Frost and Gail Steketee. All who register will:

  • Increase insight and awareness into your own patterns of acquiring, saving and hoarding
  • Receive support from others and your own copy of the book
  • Receive help to develop strategies to de-clutter your home
  • Work on ways to change problematic acquiring and discarding behaviors

The Falmouth group will begin on September 11, 2017, and will be held at the Falmouth Human Service Office, 65A Town Hall Square, Falmouth, on Mondays from 3-4:30 PM.

Schedule for groups held in Provincetown, Harwich and Mashpee will be available soon at www.hoardingcapecod.org.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited
