Eastham Police: Windmill Parade Traffic Advisory

Detours from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday

From Eastham Police Chief Edward Kulhawik:

On Sunday September 10, 2016 the Town Of Eastham will be having its annual Windmill Weekend Parade.  As a result of the parade the following detour will be in place.

Beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until 2:30 all traffic will be detoured off of Route 6 Northbound at the intersection with Samoset Road and Southbound at  the intersection with Great Pond Road.

Officers will be stationed at various intersections to direct motorists through the detour, but we are asking motorists to be aware of the parade route and detour and to avoid travel in this area if possible.

We apologize to all motorists for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and patience.  Orchard Road will be closed from Rt. 6 beginning at 11:30 am. This route should assist with reduced traffic congestion and shortened delays.

Please enjoy Windmill Weekend in Eastham September 8-10, 2017
