Reminder - Senior Appreciation Picnic is this Wednesday

Bass River Beach Parking Lot - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This year’s Sheriff’s Senior Appreciation Picnic will again be at the Bass River Beach parking lot (also known as Smuggler’s Beach) on Wednesday, September 13th, from 11 AM to 1 PM.   Hosts will be Barnstable County Sheriff Jim Cummings and Yarmouth Police Chief Frank Frederickson.  Both promise another busy day and all of it is free!

  • Patriotic songs and the narrative history that goes with them, to be sung by retired State Trooper Sergeant Dan Clark.  Clark has performed at Fenway Park and other big-ticket sports venues.  His most recent performance was at the Tall Ships parade early this summer in Boston Harbor. 
  • Free lunch for all Cape Cod seniors!
  • A couple of rounds of Bingo with prizes for the winners!
  • A K9 demonstration, performed by officer-dog teams from the Sheriff’s Office.
