Evening Book Group

The Evening Book Group regularly meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.  New members are always welcome. Pick up a copy at the Circulation Desk and join us for a lively discussion. Tonight we will be reading Monticello: a daughter and her father by Sally Cabot Gunning (fiction).  Discussion with Emily C.

Morning Book Group

This group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. This month's selection is The Road to Character by David Brooks (non-fiction). Discussion with Joanne. New members are always welcome and copies of this month's selection are available for check-out at the Circulation Desk. We will also vote non-fiction for next 6 months.

Greatest Generation Meets

“The Greatest Generation Meets” is a monthly book group that meets on the third Friday of the month from 1:00-2:00 in the Thornton Room at the Brooks Free Library. “The Greatest Generation” is a term coined by Tom Brokaw that pays tribute to the men and women who served our country, both overseas and at home, during World War II. If you are a member of this generation, or are interested in this period of history, join our discussion and share your ideas and experiences.

This month's selection is Finest Hour: the battle of Britain by Tim Clayton and Phil Craig.  Pick up a copy of the book at the Circulation Desk. Harwich residents needing transportation should call the Council on Aging van at (508) 241-1566 by 11am the day before each Friday to make a reservation.
