Worcester Poly's atheltics department announced today that Barnstable's Dereck Pacheco of the football team has been honored as the WPI Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 1st.
Of Pacheco's 17 tackles - 15 solo - on the year 11 are for-loss, including all three of his stops on Saturday versus Maine Maritime. He also had two in two chances against Becker and a season-best four in the season opener with Anna Maria.
