A  LOSS & HEALING  WRITING WORKSHOP

Facilitated by Judy Hunter, Bereavement Coordinator & Author. We will learn how to honor stories through the power of writing. There have been great societies that did not use the wheel, but there have been no societies that did not tell stories. Sponsored by Beacon Hospice. Space is limited.  Reservations required. Veterans’ Day Lunch

The Chatham COA will be honoring our veterans and military spouses this Veterans’ Day with a free lunch for: veterans and/or military spouses who are Chatham residents aged 60 or older. We will have special guests visit us from the Cape Cod Veterans, Inc. organization, who will enjoy lunch with us, and share information on various resources and programs that are available. The menu includes: Cod Picatta with Parmesan Herb Orzo Pilaf, Caesar Salad,  and Caramel Cookie Sundae for dessert. Space is limited. Wednesday, November 8th

FREE DAYTRIP: Holiday Shopping Trip to Hyannis

We will stop at Kmart Plaza, Trader Joe’s / Yankee Candle /Christmas Tree Shop and World Market Plazas, and the Cape Cod Mall as location stops, which include various dining options. Lunch is at the cost of the Diner. There will be a significant amount of walking involved.  The COA Bus Departs the COA at 9:30 am, with an estimated arrival back to the COA at 3:00pm. NOVEMBER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

If you were born in the month of November and reside in Chatham, we hope you will join us at the COA for our monthly Birthday celebration. Guests are encouraged.  Transportation is available.

Chatham COA will be closed in observance of the Holiday.

Get your Giggles on…. Gourmet Lunch and Interactive Show

Join us as our Special Guest, Trevor Smith, treats us to his unique blend of interactive humor, and enjoy laughing with us. What a fun show we will have! Before the show, we will enjoy a gourmet lunch of Cornbread and Apple Stuffed Chicken Breasts with a Cranberry Glaze, Roasted Autumn     Vegetable, and Key Lime Pie for dessert.  Tickets are $9.  Space is limited.  Reservations are required.  Call the COA at 508-945-5190.

FREE - DAYTRIP- SENIOR DAY AT WHOLE FOODS

The Chatham COA will be offering transportation to and from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s on August 16th.  Seniors are invited to visit the Whole Food’s store for a variety of different events, samplings and educational classes. The Time frame for the trip is as follows: The COA Bus will leave Chatham at 9am. The event takes place 10:00am - 11:30am. The COA Bus will then depart Whole Foods by 12:00, returning directly to Chatham. Thanksgiving Luncheon  

Please join this community luncheon where Chatham seniors will enjoy the company of Rotarians and Interact students at each table!  At The Wild Goose Tavern, Chatham Wayside Inn.  On the menu will be Traditional Turkey Dinner, with all the trimmings and dessert. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chatham. First come, first served. Space is limited, and reservations are required by November 8th. Transportation can be provided. Call the COA at 508-945-5190.

FREE MOVIE MONDAY at the COA CINEMA

“The House” – Running time: 88 min., Rated R.   After the town takes away their daughter's college scholarship, a couple start an illegal casino in their friend's house to make back the money. Scott and Kate Johansen must figure out a way to earn some money after their daughter's scholarship falls through. When all else fails, the desperate couple join forces with their neighbor Frank to start an underground casino in his home. As the cash rolls in and the good times fly, Scott and Kate soon learn that they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
