...Accumulating Snow Begins During The Evening Commute In
Connecticut...Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts...

At 2 PM light snow was developing across Long Island, southwest
Connecticut and the New York City area. This area of snow will
continue to expand in areal coverage and advance northeast across
the remainder of Connecticut, Rhode Island and southeast
Massachusetts between 4 pm and 7 pm. Snow will become moderate for
a time from about 8 pm to 11 pm west to east from Hartford to
Providence to Plymouth, with snow accumulations of an inch or two
before tapering off from 11 pm to 1 am, again from west to east.

Snow accumulations will be heavier along the south coast of RI and
MA where 2-4 inches are expected. Given the cold temperatures
untreated roads will quickly become snow covered and slippery.
Allow extra time to reach your destination and exercise caution.
