Kids raised in the 1960's lost another childhood icon this week with the passing of beloved Bozo the Clown actor Frank Avruch

If you grew up in the 1960's in New England, you knew and loved Bozo the Clown.  Beloved actor Frank Avruch, who portrayed Bozo from 1959 to 1970, passed away Tuesday at the age of 89.

Avruch was our host on Boston television for over 40 years.  In addition to his iconic Bozo character, Avruch was an entertainment figure on WCVB Channel 5 for decades.  Remembered for "The Great Entertainment", "Man About Town" and appearances on "Good Day", Frank Avruch was one of the definitive voices on all things arts and culture in Boston.
