Nauset Beach Update Effective April 6, 2018

Nauset Beach South will open Friday...

From the Town of Orleans...

Nauset Beach South will open tomorrow, April 6, at 7:00 am. Trail 2 is closed. The front beach between Trail 1 and Trail 3 is closed with the exception of low beach driving. Please be aware that the front beach is constantly changing and only advanced drivers should attempt low beach driving. Driving low beach between Trail 1 and Trail 3 is only possible two hours before high tide and two hours after high tide. Any vehicles driving between Trail 1 and Trail 3 on any area that is not inter-tidal will be considered in violation and subject to sticker revocation as it is considered a closed area when the beach profile is not available. Do not attempt to drive anywhere on the trails with more than 15 PSI. Protected shorebirds have begun to arrive, please respect all symbolic fencing and observe the 15 MPH speed limit on all trails.

Chatham North Beach - The trail layout in Chatham is all new in response to the recent storms. Please be advised that there are now 3 exits in Chatham (6, 7, and a new 8 at the south end).
