Accused Stony Brook Teacher is Free on Bail

Back on the streets for $10k bail and a GPS monitor...

The Stony Brook Elementary School accused of molesting boys at school has been released on bail.  Peter Campbell-Halley's bail was reduced from $25,000 to $10,000 during a hearing at Barnstable Superior Court.  He is required to wear a GPS monitor.

During his bail hearing last week in front of Judge Gary Nickerson, Campbell-Halley's attorney stated that the defendant wished to stay at his parents' home in Winchendon pending trial.  His wife and five-year-old son are reported staying there, as well, according to statements in court.

Last week Judge Nickerson had stated that he would not permit Campbell-Halley any contact with his young son unless and until the Division of Children and Families reported they were not concerned about his contact with the boy.

Noah Campbell-Halley is currently charged with three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child, two counts of rape of a child and one count of intimidation of a witness.

According to the Cape Cod Times, Campbell-Halley was in Orleans District Court this morning for a pre-trial hearing.
