May 3rd, 17th, 24th, 31st & June 7th, 14th, 10:00 am - Noon

iPhone and iPad Classes

at The COLIN CAMPBELL COMPUTER SCHOOL - Chatham COA

Classes for iPad and iPhone users from beginners through advanced, and also a refresher class are being offered May through June. Class descriptions and the requirements are available at the Senior Center or online at www.chathamcoa.com.   Reservations for classes are required. Space is limited. COA Gourmet Luncheon

On the Menu is Mediterranean Seasoned Turkey with a Cucumber Tzatziki sauce, served with a Moroccan Faro Salad and Angel Food Cake with Berries for dessert. Tickets are $7. Reservations are required. Transportation is available.  Call the COA at 508-945-5190.

FREE PRESENTATION: “Funeral Planning”

Responsible funeral planning requires many considerations. Spare your family the emotional stress of making decisions during a challenging time. A preneed funeral arrangement records your exact wishes. Join us for a Free Presentation on Funeral Planning with our guest speaker Christine Damery, from Dignity Memorial, and Nickerson Funeral Homes. FREE ~ DAYTRIP DESTINATION: Hidden Cove Restaurant

We will visit the Hidden Cove Restaurant, inside the Cape Cod Tech High School. This restaurant is a hidden gem, known for delicious fare, friendly service, at reasonable prices. They are a student-operated and staff-supervised restaurant open for lunch, which will begin at approximately 11:30am. The Bus will depart the COA to the Hidden Cove at 10:30am. Transportation is Free. Lunch is at the cost of the diner. Reservations are required. Space is limited.  Call the COA at 508-945-5190.

“Pizza with the Police”

In partnership with the Chatham Council On Aging, the Chatham Police Department is sponsoring a community event: “Pizza with the Police”. Come by the COA, grab a slice and talk with CPD officers! Reservations are encourage, transportation is available. Call the COA at 945-5190.

Special Mother’s Day Gourmet Luncheon

Join us for a luncheon as we honor all the mothers in our lives. In honor of Mother’s Day, the COA is hosting a special luncheon.  All guests who are mothers will be treated to a reduced price of $5. On the Menu for Lunch is Roasted Cod with Mango Salsa and Avocado over Greens with a Passion Fruit Vinaigrette and Chocolate Torte with Berries for dessert. Thank you for your service! Join us to share your Military Service Stories or just come to listen to fellow Veterans and enjoy refreshments. FREE - DAYTRIP- SENIOR DAY AT WHOLE FOODS

Chatham COA will be offering transportation to and from Whole Foods on 5/16/2018.  Seniors are invited to visit the Whole Food’s store on Senior Day for cooking demonstrations, and to enjoy free samplings from the menu of the day. The COA Bus will leave Chatham at 9am, the event takes place 10:00am - 11:30am. The COA Bus will then depart Whole Foods by 12:00, returning directly to Chatham. FREE PRESENTATION: “Let’s Talk About Your Healthcare - It’s YOUR Choice!”

Through your life, every competent adult can make a personal health care plan to direct their care choices. Your personal plan is your road map which tells your family and doctors what's important to you. Join Julie Tooher RN, a trained facilitator from the VNA of Cape Cod for this informal discussion.  Leave feeling empowered and knowledgeable about making a plan that honors your values and choices. Enrollment and Information Session for the Town of Chatham FY 19 Senior Tax Work-off Program

This session will be held at the COA.  Copies of the complete program overview, program guidelines, and enrollment requirements are available at the Senior Center or online at the Council on Aging website at www.chathamcoa.com/forms.
