Local Candidates to Address Harwich Democratic Town Committee

May 5th at Harwich Community Center

Saturday May 5th The Harwich Democratic Town Committee will hear from candidates running for office in Harwich. The meeting will be at 10 am at the Harwich Community Center on Oak Street. The public is welcome to attend.

 

Selectmen candidates invited are Edward James McManus, Steven J. F. Scannell and Thomas E. Sherry. McManus has served on the board in the past. Scannell and Sherry are new comers. Voters will need to pick one for the seat being vacated by Janelle Brown.

 

School Committee Candidate Robert T. Russell the incumbent have been invited. Voters will need to pick one.

 

Brooks Free Library Trustee candidates are incumbents Joan A. McCarty, Kathleen A. Remillard and Jeannie S. Wheeler will all be running for their current seats. Voters will need to pick three.

 

Water Commissioner Gary a. Carreiro is also running for re-election or a three year term  and Judith A. Underwood is running for a one year unexpired term. One vote will be needed to cast in each area. One for the three year term and one for the unexpired term.
