The Massachusetts Correctional Officers Federated Union has honored State Rep. Timothy Whelan (R-Brewster) with their "Representative of the Year" award at their annual retirement banquet in Milford.

Rep. Whelan was moved by the recognition.  "Having begun my law enforcement career working in Corrections, being recognized by the women and men who walk the toughest patrol area of all means very much to me. Stay safe.", remarked the retired State Trooper.
